The bulk of us are back home in Chicago, nursing jet lags and protracted hangovers (…yes, even a day and a half later). The tour was an absolute blast, and we owe much to one Felix Willikonsky for all his help in organizing and running the whole show. And we also couldn't have done it without Florian Genau, roadie extraordinaire (and thanks to Philipp Hammersfahr for coming along as an extra driver for the first leg as well). A huge thanks goes out to all the promoters, friends and bartenders who took care of us, put us up and made our lives easier along the way. And, last but certainly not least, to every one of you who came out, danced and sang along.
The best news: We'll be back over sooner than later. Details TBA.
In the meantime, what happens now? First, we've got loads of photos and videos to wade through. A whole bunch have already been posted over at facebook.com/thestaticage.band, but we'll be collecting more (plus videos) and adding to the collection over the next week or two.
And now we've got a new record to make. The drums for six songs were tracked before we flew over to Europe, and this weekend Adam will start in on bass tracks. With any luck, the rhythm section will have worked its magic shortly. Expect updates as things progress.
Back to the front,
